The term depression can be confusing since it's often used to describe normal emotional reactions. • Loss of interest or pleasure in ordinary activities

• Decreased energy, fatigue

• Sleep and/or eating problems

• Difficulty concentrating and making decisions

• Feelings of guilt, worthlessness and helplessness

• Irritability, excessive crying

• Chronic physical aches and pains that do not go away

• Feelings of hopelessness

• Thoughts of death or suicide, or suicide attempts.

Home Remedies for Depression: -

• You can try this natural and simple home remedy for depression. Take 20-30 rose petals and put them in a glass of water and boil it for 15 minutes. Allow the mixture to stand and cool it. Take this mixture 2-3 times a day. Rose petals are believed to be very effective in reducing depression.

• One can add fresh Rose petals to a cup of boiling water. Add sugar and drink whenever feeling depressed. This is a very beneficial home remedy for depression.

• Vitamin C is anti depressant so include lots of vitamin C in your diet. Some fruits rich in Vitamin C are amla (Indian gooseberry), lemons, oranges, etc.

• Apple is one of the most valuable remedies for mental depression. The various chemical substances present in this fruit such as vitamin B, phosphorus, and potassium help the synthesis of glutamic acid, which controls the wear and tear of nerve cells. The fruit should be taken with milk and honey.

• An Apple eaten with milk and honey is very good to uplift a mood. Good Home Remedy for Depression. Boil mint leaves in a cup of water. Drain the leaves off and drink the water. It is very refreshing and helps in treating anti effects of depression.

• Ashwagandha gives relief to the brain. Make a tea from equal proportions of ashvagandha and brahmi (about 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon each), steep in a cup of water for about 10 minutes, and drink 2 or 3 times a day.
